One of the things we love most about being a local, family-owned business since 1960, is that we’ve been able to get close to other members of our community. We have loved serving St. Louis and surrounding areas and are so proud that our city is a Tree City USA Community.
Tree City USA is a national program sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation. It provides a framework to help communities of all sizes build a healthy and sustainable urban forestry program. It allows us to have a greener and healthier place to live, and guess what?
2018 marks the first year that there are more than 100 Missouri communities participating in the program.
According to the Arbor Day Foundation, “trees yield three to five times their cost in overall benefits to the cities that manage them.”
Trees help to reduce energy consumption and can lower costs for stormwater management. Did we mention that trees can improve your health as well? It’s true! Needless to say, there are many benefits to being a part of this amazing program.
