Jackson Tree Service did a fantastic job. Sad we had to lose 4 large oak trees to disease. That said, they did a... great job. Even with large machinery they were able to minimize any lawn damage. My husband and I would highly recommend Jackson Tree Service. We recently had our 40 year old Oak tree removed.... Everyone was completely helpful and professional. Kelly took my call and I explained what we needed to have done she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and scheduled a tree removal consultation. We were extremely pleased with the estimate and tree and stump removal. The tree removal staff were right on time and very professional. They took our extremely large tree down with safety and ease. They also took care of our yard and clean up. We will definitely recommend and use Jackson tree service in the future.read more

Removed a 25 year old oak tree in my back yard enclosed with a chain link fence. The fence had to be dropped in order... for the removal team to get their mini lift into the back yard. They were very careful in taking down the tree given powerlines and a utility shed underneath. They did an excellent job keeping the yard clean and carefully removing limbs and droppings from the tree. Overall pleased with the work.read more

I called three (3) tree service companies to remove a tree and stump and chose Jackson Tree Service for the following... reasons:1. They returned my call the same day2. The lady on the phone was very nice3. They came to look at my tree the NEXT day and provided me a bid within 24-hours4. Their bid was NOT outrageously high5. They arrived early to my house and waited until a certain time to make noise, being considerate of my neighbors!6. The two guys who removed our tree and stump (unbelievable how quickly they did it!) were super friendly and kind7. My experience with Jackson Tree Service was excellent. Kelly responded quickly to my online inquiry for service. She... kept me posted when a representative would be at my property to provide an estimate. She even texted to inform me of a change of plans due to a major storm and storm damage would need to be addressed before my elective service. I accepted the estimate sent to me via email. The service was performed as agreed and the representative left me a notice on my door that the service was completed as I was not home at the time. I contacted Jackson Tree Service to get an estimate for work on an investment property. They were recommended by a... colleague and I trusted the person and their judgment. I went to their website which states they service St Louis city. I submitted my information and received an email the next day as confirmation. I received an email from “Kelly” stating that my estimate could not be completed until the following week. I returned that email explaining that the timeline is fine due to not being under a deadline. I replied to her email stating the service that I need performed and a picture of the property where the work would be performed. She communicated that this is something that they can do and asked me for the physical address. I communicated the physical address of the investment property and encouraged her estimator to stop by anytime. The investment property is in a black neighborhood in North St. Louis. Immediately I got a response email indicating that they “do not do work in that area.” I asked her to explain why this area is exempt from service in the city. She also stated that they only perform work in certain zip codes in the city and Jackson Tree Service is no longer interested in my request for services.It is interesting that they wanted my business up to the point that the service is in a minority empowerment zone. If I were investing in the Central West End or Tower Grove area I would not be writing this review.read more

When another tree service failed to show for a scheduled appointment, I did some virtual finger walking & came across... Jackson Tree Service. The fact that they are a locally, family owned business got my attention. As soon as I reached out to them, I knew I had made the right choice. I had a sugar maple tree that I thought was going to have to be removed & some trimming of a cedar tree & holly bush. Their response to provide an estimate of what needed to be done was simply amazing! In addition to an estimate, they provided expert advice as to what they recommended. This resulted in saving the sugar maple, and slowing the growth of the cedar & holly bush. All work was accomplished in a most efficient & professional manner. There was absolutely no disturbance for my family or my neighbors. I would highly recommend Jackson Tree Service.read more

The communication and professionalism of this company was very poor. They scheduled our tree service and did not notify... me that my neighbours driveway would be needed for them to park in. He was unable to move his cars at the time so we had to reschedule. When I called to reschedule the woman in the office said she would call me, closer to the date to reschedule. Instead, I received an email on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We were out of town and I did not have service therefore did not know they had rescheduled. My husband was home and intercepted them again at my neighbours house. They suggested that since he wasn’t home they could just get over there quickly and get it done. We didn’t allow that to happen as our neighbour asked for notice. They did what trimming they could from our side of the fence and left without asking for payment. When I went to the online portal to see if I could pay, there was a screenshot of a text message with a photo of our house stating“this damn guy still didn’t get permission from his neighbour. This is what he wanted so this is what he got”I called to inform them they had uploaded this screen shot and the woman in the office simply took it off the portal and gave me a poor excuse. For a company expecting quite a bit of money for the tree service done, you would think they would have better communication and a hint of professionalism but unfortunately they did not. The actual tree trimming was great and they did clean up really well after, which is why I gave them 2 stars.read more
