We had a large Ash tree that was dead and had to be removed. The Jackson Tree Service did an excellent job removing the tree. They were very professional and efficient. We miss the tree, but our yard looks great! We highly recommend Jackson Family Tree Service.

Jackson Tree Service did a fantastic job. Sad we had to lose 4 large oak trees to disease. That said, they did a great job. Even with large machinery they were able to minimize any lawn damage. They were very professional and neat and worked quickly. Their pricing was better than many of the other lawn/tree services we contacted, yet the work done was of the highest quality.

My husband and I would highly recommend Jackson Tree Service. We recently had our 40 year old Oak tree removed. Everyone was completely helpful and professional. Kelly took my call and I explained what we needed to have done she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and scheduled a tree removal consultation. We were extremely pleased with the estimate and tree and stump removal. The tree removal staff were right on time and very professional. They took our extremely large tree down with safety and ease. They also took care of our yard and clean up. We will definitely recommend and use Jackson tree service in the future.

Very happy with our experience with Jackson Tree Service. Over the course of 2021 they treated one of our trees for ash borers, fertilized the tree and also trimmed and pruned. They were always very responsive from getting an estimate to getting the work scheduled and completed.

Removed a 25 year old oak tree in my back yard enclosed with a chain link fence. The fence had to be dropped in order for the removal team to get their mini lift into the back yard. They were very careful in taking down the tree given powerlines and a utility shed underneath. They did an excellent job keeping the yard clean and carefully removing limbs and droppings from the tree. Overall pleased with the work.

I called three (3) tree service companies to remove a tree and stump and chose Jackson Tree Service for the following reasons:1. They returned my call the same day2. The lady on the phone was very nice3. They came to look at my tree the NEXT day and provided me a bid within 24-hours4. Their bid was NOT outrageously high5. They arrived early to my house and waited until a certain time to make noise, being considerate of my neighbors!6. The two guys who removed our tree and stump (unbelievable how quickly they did it!) were super friendly and kind7. I was surprised how well they cleaned up after themselves.****I don’t usually write reviews, but, I was so impressed with Jackson that I’m happy to share the good vibes I got from their company!!*****

I sent them photos and they sent someone to check out the situation. Good communications via email before I signed the proposal. The team that came to our house was very polite and very responsive, willing to follow our requests. At the end they showed us what they'd done and were willing to do what it took to make us happy.

I contacted Jackson Family Tree service about a tree that I thought needed pruning. They replied quickly, got me scheduled, and came out to assess the tree. They made sure they understood my concerns and gave me advice about the best way to proceed.Overall the service was 5 star. Very professional. Very personal. Very knowledgeable. My experience with Jackson Tree Service was excellent. Kelly responded quickly to my online inquiry for service. She kept me posted when a representative would be at my property to provide an estimate. She even texted to inform me of a change of plans due to a major storm and storm damage would need to be addressed before my elective service. I accepted the estimate sent to me via email. The service was performed as agreed and the representative left me a notice on my door that the service was completed as I was not home at the time. They sent me an invoice via email after the service was completed. This company is very professional. I appreciated the excellent communication from Kelly.

I contacted Jackson Tree Service to get an estimate for work on an investment property. They were recommended by a colleague and I trusted the person and their judgment. I went to their website which states they service St Louis city. I submitted my information and received an email the next day as confirmation. I received an email from “Kelly” stating that my estimate could not be completed until the following week. I returned that email explaining that the timeline is fine due to not being under a deadline. I replied to her email stating the service that I need performed and a picture of the property where the work would be performed. She communicated that this is something that they can do and asked me for the physical address. I communicated the physical address of the investment property and encouraged her estimator to stop by anytime. The investment property is in a black neighborhood in North St. Louis. Immediately I got a response email indicating that they “do not do work in that area.” I asked her to explain why this area is exempt from service in the city. She also stated that they only perform work in certain zip codes in the city and Jackson Tree Service is no longer interested in my request for services.It is interesting that they wanted my business up to the point that the service is in a minority empowerment zone. If I were investing in the Central West End or Tower Grove area I would not be writing this review.

We have been using Jackson Tree Service for many years. They have removed trees, did stump removal and grinding, as well as trimmed our trees.This summer’s big storm caused much tree damage. They were quick to get to us, took care of the downed tree and limbs and cleaned the whole area of debris. The service crew were professional, courteous and did an excellent job. Thank you so much!

Update: June 2021We used Jackson Tree Service again to remove another tree in our backyard and trim / shape a tree in the front. Another great experience.*************************************************We had a great experience with Jackson Tree Service. There was a huge post oak in our backyard that needed to be carefully removed (small backyard + privacy fence + houses close together). Jackson had impressive equipment and skill to complete the job flawlessly. We highly recommend them.

The three men who came to do the work were extremely friendly and polite and went above and beyond... I was very happy with the service. Plus earlier, someone came to treat the trees. He worked quickly and I barely knew he was there. And finally, communicating with Kelly through email and phone was easy. Jackson Tree Service did a great job with my tree trimming. Kelly was very helpful with explaining services, fees and scheduling. Someone came to evaluate the tree, and to explain options to me. My trimming was done sooner than scheduled. The trimming was very professionally done, and my tree is doing well! I will use their service again, if needed in the future.

Workers were prompt, courteous, and professional. They removed 2 trees in difficult locations without even damaging flowers that were planted around base of trees. They pruned a tree hanging over my roof in a narrow space that required a lift. These tasks were expertly completed at a reasonable price.

Randy treated my Pin Oak for Oak Gall. This was the first year my tree showed signs of the disease. Randy was skilled at the treatment and explained each step as well as detailing the products used. They also pointed out some additional care that the trees needed to be provided to extend the two trees life and health. When another tree service failed to show for a scheduled appointment, I did some virtual finger walking & came across Jackson Tree Service. The fact that they are a locally, family owned business got my attention. As soon as I reached out to them, I knew I had made the right choice. I had a sugar maple tree that I thought was going to have to be removed & some trimming of a cedar tree & holly bush. Their response to provide an estimate of what needed to be done was simply amazing! In addition to an estimate, they provided expert advice as to what they recommended. This resulted in saving the sugar maple, and slowing the growth of the cedar & holly bush. All work was accomplished in a most efficient & professional manner. There was absolutely no disturbance for my family or my neighbors. I would highly recommend Jackson Tree Service.

The communication and professionalism of this company was very poor. They scheduled our tree service and did not notify me that my neighbours driveway would be needed for them to park in. He was unable to move his cars at the time so we had to reschedule. When I called to reschedule the woman in the office said she would call me, closer to the date to reschedule. Instead, I received an email on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We were out of town and I did not have service therefore did not know they had rescheduled. My husband was home and intercepted them again at my neighbours house. They suggested that since he wasn’t home they could just get over there quickly and get it done. We didn’t allow that to happen as our neighbour asked for notice. They did what trimming they could from our side of the fence and left without asking for payment. When I went to the online portal to see if I could pay, there was a screenshot of a text message with a photo of our house stating“this damn guy still didn’t get permission from his neighbour. This is what he wanted so this is what he got”I called to inform them they had uploaded this screen shot and the woman in the office simply took it off the portal and gave me a poor excuse. For a company expecting quite a bit of money for the tree service done, you would think they would have better communication and a hint of professionalism but unfortunately they did not. The actual tree trimming was great and they did clean up really well after, which is why I gave them 2 stars.
